
Northumberland has many areas of outstanding natural beauty with large tracts of the county within the confines of the Northumberland National Park. Northumberland forms part of the Heritage Coastline with many Sites of Scientific Interest along many areas of the coast.
Alnwick Garden has proven to be one of the most popular destinations for tourists in recent times, although by no means the only attraction that Northumberland has to offer.
Alnwick and now Hexham have both been voted as the best places to live in the country by Country Life Magazine.
There are more castles than any other County in Britain, each unique in its own way, the closest is Bamburgh and Alnwick. Golfers have the choice of 24 golf courses within the county. The closest being Bamburgh, Seahouses, Dunstanburgh and Belford.

Millennium Eye Bridge, voted one of the best
